RV Group
Key Global Leaders
Dr. Rajiv Kumar Sharma
Founder & Chairman, RV Group
Dr. Rajiv Kumar Sharma founded RV Group on the conviction that quality healthcare should reach patients across emerging markets, not just established ones. A career built across some of the most demanding pharmaceutical markets in the world gave him a clear vantage point: the gap between where quality medicines were available and where they were needed was not a market failure, it was an opportunity for the right kind of enterprise.
With over 30 years in pharmaceuticals, Dr. Rajiv brings rare depth in building businesses across complex, high-growth markets. His most formative years were spent at Ranbaxy, where he served as Country Head across Indochina, navigating regulatory environments, distribution ecosystems, and healthcare infrastructure challenges that few multinational leaders ever face directly.
Under his leadership, RV Group has grown into a multi-market pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare enterprise spanning Asia, with operations across manufacturing, branded generics, OTC, and Rx segments. He has built the Group on a culture of entrepreneurship, calculated risk-taking, and trust-driven leadership, values that reflect his own approach to business as much as they define the organisation.
Rajiv holds a Bachelor's degree from Panjab University and an MBA from RMIT University, Melbourne.
Loan Dao
General Director, OPV Pharmaceutical Joint Stock
Dao Thi Kim Loan brings over two decades of leadership experience to her role as General Director of OPV Pharmaceutical Joint Stock — experience built not within pharma alone, but across some of the most demanding consumer businesses in Vietnam, including Coca-Cola, Dumex, and Boehringer Ingelheim. That cross-sector background gives her a commercial instinct and people leadership fluency that shapes how she runs one of Vietnam's most established pharmaceutical companies.
RV-OPV traces its origins to 1950, and when RV Group completed its acquisition in 2021, Loan's mandate was to integrate a legacy business into a growing multinational group without losing the local trust and brand equity built over decades. She has approached that integration with a leadership style that is both inclusive and transformational — fostering a culture where Vietnamese expertise and international experience work together, and where the ambition is clearly defined: to make RV-OPV one of the top five pharmaceutical manufacturers in Vietnam, with a turnover target of $200 million per year.
Under her stewardship, the company has strengthened its core OTC portfolio — Ameflu, Tydol Plus, Star Sore Throat, and Dizzo — while expanding contract manufacturing partnerships with leading multinationals.
Her leadership philosophy is defined by two principles that rarely coexist as naturally as they do in her approach: democratic inclusion, where every team member has a voice and ideas move freely across hierarchy, and transformational aspiration, where the bar is consistently set above what currently exists. In a business operating at the intersection of Vietnamese heritage and global ambition, it is precisely this combination that the role requires.
Sudeshna Pan
General Director, RV Group Vietnam
Sudeshna Pan has spent over 30 years inside the pharmaceutical industry's most demanding operational theatre: emerging markets in Southeast Asia, where healthcare infrastructure is uneven, regulatory environments are in constant evolution, and the ability to navigate government relationships is as commercially critical as the product portfolio itself. He has not observed this landscape from a distance — he has led businesses within it, at full P&L accountability, across multiple countries and market types.
His approach is that of a strategic architect who never loses contact with local execution. This means working directly with Ministries of Health, regulatory authorities, hospital leadership, and key opinion leaders — not as a function of seniority, but as a recognition that in emerging markets, ecosystem relationships are not supplementary to commercial strategy. They are the strategy. Sudeshna has built a career on understanding this distinction and acting accordingly.
The product lifecycle expertise he brings spans the full range: portfolio strategy, pre-launch market assessment, market access and pricing, tender management, launch excellence, and long-term lifecycle planning. That breadth reflects a career that has moved across some of the industry's most respected organisations — Novartis, Fresenius Kabi, Eli Lilly, and Healol Pharmaceuticals — each of which added a different layer of strategic and operational depth.
Sudeshna holds an MBA in Marketing & Finance from AIM, Philippines, and a Ph.D. in Health Economics and Management — an academic foundation that underpins a sophisticated understanding of healthcare systems, value-based decision-making, and the economics of market access in resource-constrained settings.
Sugata Bhattacharya
Managing Director, RVLL Europe
Sugata Bhattacharya brings 35 years of pharmaceutical industry experience to his role as Managing Director of RVLL Europe — including time at the very top of two of the industry's most demanding regional mandates. As Managing Director of Ranbaxy UK Limited and subsequently as Senior Vice President and Regional Head at Aurobindo Pharma Europe, he built a career navigating the regulatory rigour, market access complexity, and commercial intensity that define the European pharmaceutical landscape.
Europe is not a single market. It is a collection of distinct regulatory jurisdictions, reimbursement systems, competitive dynamics, and healthcare philosophies, held together by a common framework that requires expertise to interpret and patience to master. Sugata has operated within this complexity at the highest level — managing multi-country commercial organisations, building relationships with regulators and distributors across markets, and driving growth in an environment where the barriers to entry are high and the margin for error is correspondingly low.
What he brings to RVLL Europe is both that hard-won market knowledge and the senior leadership credibility to open doors that take years to reach. For a pharmaceutical group expanding its international footprint, the European opportunity is significant — and it requires exactly the combination of regulatory fluency, commercial acumen, and established industry relationships that define Sugata's career.
Sugata holds a medical degree and a business and marketing management qualification from INSEAD, Fontainebleau.
Animesh Tyagi
Chief Operating Officer, RV Group
Animesh Tyagi has spent over 18 years doing one of the harder things in business: taking pharmaceutical operations across multiple emerging markets and making them work — not just on paper, but in practice. As Chief Operating Officer of RV Group, he brings a track record built across Vietnam, Cambodia, and India — underpinned by a foundation in strategy at McKinsey & Company — in businesses where the variables are high, the infrastructure is imperfect, and the margin for error is low.
His expertise spans the full operating stack. From P&L ownership and commercial strategy to M&A integration, manufacturing oversight, regulatory alignment, and large-scale team development, Animesh has led across functions that many executives only ever manage one at a time. That breadth is not accidental, it reflects a career built on taking end-to-end responsibility for business outcomes rather than functional slivers of them.
What makes his leadership style distinctive is the combination of strategic clarity and disciplined execution. He is the kind of operator who can articulate a market expansion thesis and then stay present long enough to ensure the last mile of implementation holds. Across the organisations he has led, the results have been consistent: higher-performing teams, stronger commercial infrastructure, and businesses that grow with structural integrity rather than in spite of its absence.
Animesh holds an MBA from IIM Kozhikode and a business degree from IBS Hyderabad.

Ranjit Sen
COO, RVLL Manufacturing Plant India
Ranjit Sen's pharmaceutical career began where most careers in the industry do — on the ground, building relationships one doctor and one chemist at a time. Thirty years later, he leads one of the most operationally complex mandates in RV Lifesciences: scaling manufacturing capacity in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar from 2 to 7 billion tablets, while simultaneously driving the commercial and organisational development of the business. The arc from medical representative to C-suite is not common. When it happens, it produces a particular kind of leader who understands both the strategy and the street-level reality of executing it.
That ground-up fluency defines how Ranjit leads. He brings the strategic instincts of a senior executive who has managed full P&L responsibility across complex business environments, combined with the operational specificity of someone who has never lost sight of how pharmaceutical businesses actually work at the point of delivery. His teams understand that accountability is not a policy but it is a habit, modelled from the top.
The manufacturing scale-up he currently oversees is not simply a capacity expansion. It is the physical infrastructure of RV Lifesciences' ambition, the foundation on which the business's growth across India and international markets will be built. Ranjit approaches it with the same discipline and purpose that have defined every stage of his career: patient, precise, and entirely focused on what the work requires.
Ranjit is an alumnus of IIM Kozhikode.
Namita Shirke
Chief Regulatory Officer, RV Group
Namita Shirke began her career at a microbiology lab bench. Nearly three decades later, she leads global regulatory strategy for one of Asia's fastest-growing pharmaceutical groups, a trajectory that reflects not just accumulated experience, but a rare quality of mind: the ability to hold the full complexity of a regulatory system and find the precise path through it.
As Chief Regulatory Officer, Namita commands multi-jurisdictional regulatory strategy across domestic, emerging, and stringent markets. Her scope spans the full regulatory lifecycle: dossier preparation and submissions, GMP compliance and audit readiness, drug lifecycle and variation management, bioequivalence and clinical trial oversight, and technology transfers across manufacturing sites and geographies. She has worked across regulatory environments where the frameworks differ substantially, and built the internal expertise to navigate each on its own terms.
What distinguishes her is precision. In pharmaceutical regulation, the difference between a successful submission and a costly setback is often a matter of details that most people would overlook. Namita has built a career on not overlooking them. Her colleagues describe her as the professional they call when the regulatory pathway is complex, the market is unforgiving, and the margin for error is zero.
A microbiologist by training, she has evolved into a strategic regulatory leader whose depth across both the science and the system gives her a perspective that is genuinely difficult to replicate. Outside of pharma, she is quietly committed to the education of orphaned children — a personal value she lives without announcement.
Quan Ai Nhu
Head of Legal & Assistant to the Chairman, RV Group
Quan Ai Nhu came to RV Group with something that cannot be taught quickly: a decade of hard-won legal expertise across corporate governance, commercial litigation, and enterprise licensing in one of Southeast Asia's most dynamic legal environments. Her dual role as Head of Legal and Assistant to the Chairman reflects both the trust she has earned and the breadth of what she brings, she is as fluent in boardroom-level corporate strategy as she is in the technical architecture of cross-border legal compliance.
Her academic foundation is international by design. She holds a Bachelor of Commercial Law from Ho Chi Minh City and a Master of International Law from Seoul, South Korea — a combination that gave her early exposure to how different legal traditions approach the same commercial problems, and the interpretive agility that comes from working across them. That foundation was then tested in practice: over a decade at Vinalaw as a litigation expert and consultant, a partnership role at Viet Diligence Legal handling enterprise licensing, and a guest lectureship at Binh Duong University's Faculty of Law.
She joined RV Group in late 2021. What she inherited was a legal function built for a smaller, more localised business. What she has built is a global department — structured, scalable, and capable of protecting the Group's interests across the multiple jurisdictions in which it now operates. That transformation, from localised support function to strategic legal infrastructure, has quietly been one of the most important pieces of organisational work in RV Group's recent growth.
Beyond the technical, Nhu brings something that is genuinely uncommon in legal leadership: a commercial sensibility. She understands that the role of a legal team in a fast-growing business is not to slow things down, but to build the frameworks that allow the business to move confidently and at pace.
Rajnish Sharma
Director & Business Head – India, RV Lifesciences Limited
Rajnish Sharma has spent over three decades in the Indian pharmaceutical industry — long enough to have watched it transform from a largely domestic generics market into one of the world's most strategically significant pharmaceutical ecosystems. He has not been a passive observer of that transformation. Across roles that have spanned field sales, national leadership, and now full business ownership, he has been an active participant in shaping how pharmaceutical businesses grow, compete, and build lasting presence in India.
As Director and Business Head for India at RV Lifesciences Limited, he carries responsibility for business strategy, commercial excellence, and organisational development across the Indian market. It is a mandate that requires both the long view — portfolio positioning, market development, channel strategy — and the operational discipline to ensure execution holds across a large, distributed field force operating in one of the world's most complex healthcare markets.
His career prior to RV Lifesciences was built at institutions that demand precision and performance. At Viatris (formerly Mylan Pharmaceuticals), he served as National Sales Head for the Hospital Care Division — a role that required managing large teams, navigating the institutional hospital segment, and sustaining commercial performance at national scale. His earlier tenures at MSD India and Fulford (formerly Schering-Plough) added further depth, exposing him to global standards of commercial excellence and the discipline of operating within multinational structures while driving local market outcomes.
Rajnish holds a Science degree from Punjab University and completed the Executive Development Programme in Customer Experience Management at the University of Hyderabad.
Rijul Sharma
Director, RV Group
Rijul Sharma is a Director at RV Group, where he leads strategic growth and business transformation initiatives across the Group's pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare businesses — building on his earlier work at EY-Parthenon, where he advised healthcare and life sciences clients across the Middle East. His responsibilities span commercial strategy, organizational development, procurement, and cross-border operational initiatives across India and Southeast Asia.
His background in strategy consulting, combined with hands-on operational leadership within a multi-market healthcare business, brings a balanced approach grounded in both analytical rigor and executional discipline.
Rijul holds a Master's in Management from INSEAD and a degree in Economics from University College London.
Shalini Singh
Global General Manager – Marketing & Commercial Excellence, RV Group
Shalini Singh is a senior commercial and marketing leader whose career has been defined by a consistent ability to operate at both the strategic and executional ends of the commercial agenda — translating complex business objectives into sustained market outcomes across diverse geographies, portfolio structures, and competitive contexts within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector.
Her core strength lies in the integration of brand strategy with commercial architecture. She brings a disciplined, systems-level perspective to how organisations build and sustain market presence: through the alignment of brand positioning, field capability, channel strategy, and performance management into a coherent and scalable commercial model. This orientation — towards building enduring infrastructure rather than episodic execution — has defined the nature and scale of her contributions throughout her career.
What Shalini brings to RV Group is precisely that dual fluency: the creative and strategic instincts of a seasoned brand builder, combined with the process rigour of someone who has spent years developing marketing excellence functions across complex, distributed organisations. In a business operating across multiple markets with different brand portfolios, competitive dynamics, and customer behaviours, this combination is rare and genuinely valuable.
She has managed P&L responsibility across growth and mature portfolios, led organisational transformation through periods of structural change, and built high-performing teams in environments that demand both pace and precision. Her engagement style is collaborative, evidence-driven, and oriented towards long-term capability — making her an effective partner to senior leadership in both strategy formulation and sustained delivery.
Shalini holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree, a Post Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management from the Indian Institute of Management.
