Sitagliptin + Metformin is a fixed-dose combination that pairs the incretin-enhancing action of a DPP-4 inhibitor with the insulin-sensitising and hepatic glucose-lowering effects of a biguanide. The dual mechanism offers complementary glycaemic control in a single tablet. Indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults inadequately controlled on metformin monotherapy, or as initial combination therapy in patients with significant baseline hyperglycaemia where both agents are appropriate.
