Febuxostat Tablets (40 mg, 80 mg)

Febuxostat is a non-purine selective xanthine oxidase inhibitor that lowers serum uric acid levels by blocking uric acid synthesis. Unlike allopurinol, its metabolism is primarily hepatic, making it suitable for patients with mild-to-moderate renal impairment without dose adjustment. Indicated for the long-term management of chronic hyperuricaemia in conditions where urate deposition has occurred, including a history or presence of tophi and/or gouty arthritis, in adult patients.
